Oh I so love this story. Ian and his brother Lex are the main characters along with Isabelle, Lord Dustan and many other family and extended family members. The story is a great one with alchemy, necromancy and love all mixed together. Lex is always trying to persuade Ian to do Lex's will or suggestions. They are twins of course so being bound to one another in their thinking and actions can cause some serious problems. This is a smooth read that keeps you wanting more as each chapter ends. Blood Gifts A Final Formula Story eBook Becca Andre Reviews
I've read all of the books in this series...and the novellas...and have enjoyed each one. I really liked this one as it is a book of redemption and love...and it's about Ian! To me, Ian steals any scene he's in regardless of which story it is. I really enjoyed delving deeper into his character and am eagerly looking forward to more from this author!
Ian was one of my favorite characters in the final formula series. You couldn’t help but fall in love with him. The story of his early life is a real gem.
Enjoyed the background of Ian and his brother Lex. But did not enjoy this book as much bec by reading the other books first I knew how the future was going to turn out and it wasn't going to be good. I like Ian and do not like Lex (but he is meant not to be liked) for his manipulations of people and situations. The author did a great job of creating a villain.
This novella was a really great addition to the series! Learning about Ian and Lex's past really enhanced the series and made me feel far more connected to Ian (who I love and is currently my favorite male character!). Definitely definitely definitely read this novella, you won't regret it! And if you haven't read the series yet, go check out the first book!
I loved this prequel to the main series, as it gives us a chance to learn who Ian really is. The new character introduced in this story is believable and intriguing, and the relationships between all of the characters truly makes the story rich. It left me wanting more of this early Ian and his contemporaries. While this enlightens readers of the rest of the Final Formula series, it can certainly be read as a stand-alone by new fans.

Having read much of the rest of the Final Formula series, I really enjoyed this book. It gave you the backstory to Ian and Lex and their relationship as brothers. I loved how you get to know Isabelle who is only touched on in the parts that I have read. This story gives more depth to the series and well worth reading.
The Final Formula series is now an all time favorite of mine. This novella is a back story about two powerful necromancers who feature predominantly in the series. Andres' characters are plentiful and intriguing. We can't get enough of them and this blast into the past, by a couple of centuries, of Ian Mallory Nelson and his twin, Alexander as adolescents is terrific stuff! These novellas accompanying the series are very engaging side trips that keep us so engaged with the Final Formula entire. My only complaint is it's too short! I didn't want it to end...so come on Becca and give us more! I am so NOT patiently waiting for FF5!
